BHUBANESWAR: Governor MC Bhandare on Thursday announced the budget session of the Orissa Legislative Assembly from February 21.
The budget session of the Assembly will have 29 working days with a 13-day break in the middle of the session.
The first session will continue till February 29 and the House will be adjourned from March 1 to 13 when the department-related standing committees will scrutinise the budget provisions of respective departments.
Finance Minister Prafulla Ghadei is likely to present the State budget for 2012-13 on February 28. The session will continue till April 7.
