KEONJHAR: Keonjhar Sadar MLA Subarna Naik was arrested on Monday for allegedly slapping a lady home guard. Nayak was arrested following a complaint filed against him by home guard Babita Lenka that he had slapped her when she objected to faulty parking of the MLA’s vehicle at the daily market, police said.Refuting the allegation, the BJD MLA termed the incident as politically motivated. “I have neither slapped nor misbehaved with anybody. Rather the home guard hurled abusive words at me,” Nayak said.
