GRP sources said they were to be taken to Delhi by Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Hirakud Express by a mediator involved in illegal trafficking of girls.

The rescued girls have been identified and are aged between 14 and 17. They belong to Simdega in Sundargarh. The mediator, Binod Kujur, however, managed to escape.
