BHUBANESWAR: Unidentified miscreants hurled crude bombs at the BJB Nagar residence of advocate Gyana Mohanty late in the evening on Saturday. The bombs hit the door screen and exploded. Luckily, no one was hurt. The incident occurred at about 11 pm. At least, three crude bombs were lobbed at Mohanty’s house. Badagada police suspect the miscreants may have come on bikes and sped away after finishing the job. The Mohanty family members were inside when the incident took place.

“The bombs damaged some parts of the walls but no one is hurt,” Mohanty said. Although it was not known who could be behind the act, the advocate said, a dispute over land may have been the cause. Inspector in charge of Badagada police station Rajat Ray and his team are investigating.
