BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has decided to formulate rules for the Panchayats Extension to Scheduled Areas (PESA) Act. This was discussed at a meeting presided over by chief secretary Bijay Kumar Patnaik in the secretariat here on Friday. The Panchayatiraj Department has been asked to prepare a draft rules to be circulated to other departments for suggestions.
The final draft rules will be prepared with inputs from the suggestions by the departments. It will be forwarded to the State Government for Cabinet approval and to be passed in the Assembly.
