PARADIP: Tension ran high at the IOCL refinery project site here on Saturday after four miscreants opened fire and attacked a security guard of the company.
In the evening, the miscreants barged into the project site and demanded money from the officials of RMC Batching and Mixing plant installed in the site.
When the officials refused, they ransacked the plant office and pelted stones at the security personnel who tried to intervene.
A guard was injured in the melee. Before fleeing, they fired in the air to terrorise the personnel.
IIC of Paradip PS Anil Mishra said efforts were on to nab the miscreants.
