SAMBALPUR: Dhansingh Suna (65) allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday by jumping into Malti joar (water body) after his son refused to part with his mobile phone.
A resident of Dungripali village under Paikmal police limits, Suna was working in a brick kiln in Gudesingh village under Sason police limits in Bargarh district. His body was found floating in the water on Wednesday.
Sources said, after lunch, Suna asked his son Dolamani to give him his mobile to listen to songs.
However, Dolamani refused leading to a slanging match. An irate Suna then jumped into the water body and drowned.
