Foundation day lecture at KIIT
Dr. Verghese Kurien, the Father of White Revolution in India, had utmost respect for the wisdom of Indian farmers and the expertise of competent professionals, said RS Sodhi, Managing Director of GCMMF (Amul) at KIIT University on November 20, 2012. Delivering the 6th Foundation Day Lecture at KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), he said, Dr. Kurien was against policy measures such as FDI in retail sector, since he felt that such a move would be detrimental to the interest of Indian farmers.

New branch of OBC inaugurated
Oriental Bank of Commerce, Bhubaneswar Region added a new branch at Kendrapara on November 19, 2012. Inaugurated by Durga Prasad Behera, Collector & District Magistrate, Kendrapara in the presence of Gautam Sinha Ray, DGM, OBC, the total number of branches in Bhubaneswar region reached 45 and total branch network of the bank touched 876.

Recently a scientific team visited the research laboratory of Synergy Institute of Technology and highly appreciated the research work being carried out in this institution in different areas of Nanotechnology and Polymer Science.
