City school to host Young Global Citizen summit

SAI International School will be organising the first Young Global Citizen Summit (YGCS) in India. The event will be organised from January 26 to 29, 2013 where around 220 schools with approximately 400 students will participate.

The four-year-old school was adjudged the best school of the country in ‘Parent Involvement’ category in a pan-India survey conducted by the Education World India.

The survey analysed parents’ involvement in a child’s schooling. “Parents of our students play a pivotal role in the child’s education. We make it a point to involve every parent in the child’s education, so that a holistic learning experience can be created,” said school chairman Bijay Kumar Sahoo.

Principal Arun Prakash said, “The school’s concept called ‘Parent Connect’ where the families of around six students are called to visit the school to know the environment in which their children are studying.

This allows the family to look into the child’s everyday activity and get involved in it.”
