Exactly seven days after the Rangamatia murder, Commissionerate Police on Friday nabbed two persons, including prime accused.

Main accused Bikala Behera and an accomplice Dipak Parida were arrested by two different police teams. Bikala was held from a hideout in Sambalpur, while Dipak was rounded up in the City. Seven more accused are still at large.

Police action comes a day after Bhubaneswar DCP Nitinjit Singh’s assurance to the locals and victim’s family that necessary action is being taken to nab the accused. Behera was hacked to death over disputes during Ganesh immersion rituals last Friday. Two days before that, he had lodged a complaint with Mancheswar Police in this connection.
