CM declares pay hike for group D workers

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced that the pay for workers falling under Group D category will be hiked by Rs 200. With this hike, around 65,735 grade D workers across the State will benefit. The State has allocated Rs 27.14 crore in the budget.

Basic Sanitation:

The DM School, Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar, initiated an awareness programme ‘Waves Of Change- Education Beyond Books’ under the National School Sanitation Initiative scheme recently. The scheme, launched this year, aims at providing every school with all practical aspects of sanitation like clean toilet habits, safe drinking water and separate toilets for girl students. To create awareness on basic sanitation in schools, a folk dance and role play were organised. The school’s students will also participate in a national-level programme in Delhi.
