Hunters of cool

Stalk Buy Love offers international womenswear well within your budget
Hunters of cool

If you liked Pretamoda, the fashion online portal launched in June 2010, you will certainly want to check out Stalk Buy Love from one of the owners. Featuring an attractive user interface and affordable womenswear, this month-old e-store is the brainchild of Rashmi Ahluwalia, Ritu Srivastava and Pretamoda’s Ritika Walia. Both Ahluwalia and Srivastava  have been in the textile business for 30 years and the portal, as Ahluwalia points out, targets anyone (between 13 and 40) “who is free spirited and fashion conscious.”

Tracking trends

Delhi-based Ahluwalia keeps track of international fashion trends. ‘’We see upcoming trends and commercialise it for the Indian market, with affordable pricing,” she says. The portal is “theme regulated,” with a new theme every 10 days. “Our latest Spots and Stripes is inspired by animal prints,” offers Ahluwalia. There are around eight theme-based collections, featuring blouses, casual T-shirts, afternoon dresses and party tops in colours like musk green, electric blue, greys and berry red. Fabrics used are mostly sheer and lace, georgette, American crepe, french terry and colourful denim. “Our signature clutches are a big hit,” claims Ahluwalia, who will be expanding to shoes this November and will be introducing menswear next year. The site, which gets anywhere between 2,000 and 4,000 hits every day, also has a blog which covers trends and style tips.

Products are priced between Rs 180 and Rs 1,400.
