Two dengue cases have come to the fore in Parlakhemundi in the last couple of days.
Sources in the district headquarters hospital said N Sagar Prasad of Ramagiri who was admitted to a local hospital for fever, was this week found dengue positive and shifted to Visakhapatnam. One S Jayalakshmi of ward 16 was diagnosed with dengue and shifted to MKCG Medical, Berhampur.
A lot many patients suffering from fever have been admitted to the district hospital. Worse, there are no separate wards to treat dengue patients in the hospital.
