Stadium sweeper dies in accident

A middle-aged man died in an  accident after his scooter was hit by a biker near Jayadev Vihar Square here late on Friday. Ramesh Nayak, a sweeper with Kalinga Stadium, was returning home when one Bhubananda Satpathy on a bike rammed his vehicle.

Nayak was thrown off his scooter and suffered serious head injuries. He was rushed to Capital Hospital where he succumbed later. The incident occurred at about 2 pm. Satpathy was arrested by the police and produced before a local court.

Autorickshaw Driver Body Found

Bhubaneswar: Body of an autorickshaw driver was found on the Kuakhai river bank in the small hours of Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Amitabh Lenka.

Lenka (32) bore injury marks. His clothes, wallet and other belongings were found in his auto which was parked nearby. Police suspect foul play and are investigating.
