ARMY Advisory to DFO

Animal Rescue and Maintenance Youths (ARMY) has urged the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO)

Animal Rescue and Maintenance Youths (ARMY) has urged the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Rourkela to install solar fencing and erect rubber walls around Rourkela to keep the elephants away and minimise the man-animal conflict. In a memorandum, managing trustee Sangram Parida said solar-electro fencing is a long pending demand of Steel City and recent depredation of 11 elephants has again flagged the issue. Such fencing should be installed at strategic points and near reserve forests including Durgapur hill range. Funds from CAMPA can be used for the purpose.
