Puri-Ajmer Express from December 30

Ministry of Railways will introduce bi-weekly Puri-Ajmer Express from the pilgrim town from December 30. On the return route, it will start from Ajmer on January 3.

Ministry of Railways will introduce bi-weekly Puri-Ajmer Express from the pilgrim town from December 30. On the return route, it will start from Ajmer on January 3.

The train will make its inaugural run on December 22 when Minister of State for Railways Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury will flag it off at Puri.

The train will leave Puri at 9.25 pm every Monday and Thursday and reach Ajmer at 9 pm on Wednesday and Saturday.

In the return direction, the train will leave Ajmer at 4 pm every Friday and Tuesday and reach Puri at 6.45 pm on Sunday and Thursday.

The bi-weekly express will comprise one AC-2 tier, three AC-3 tier, nine sleeper class and seven second class general coaches.

It will have halts at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Mancheswar, Dhenkanal, Talcher Road, Angul, Rairakhol, Sambalpur, Bargarh Road, Balangir, Titlagarh, Kantabanji, Khariar Road and Mahasamund under the East Coast Railway jurisdiction.

Beyond ECoR, the train will have stoppages at Raipur, Durg, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Amalner, Nandurbar, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Sabarmati, Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Sirohi Road, Falna, Rani, Marwar and Beawar.
