Vehicle theft racket busted

Police busted a vehicle theft racket by arresting three persons involved in the crime.

The three accused have been identified as Santanu Balabanta Ray (23) from Nayagarh, Reka Patnaik (25) from Kendrapara and Anadi Nayak from Khandapada. The three have been accused of stealing two four-wheelers and nine two-wheelers from various parts of the city.

One of the four-wheelers was stolen from Indradhanu market and another from Khandagiri. The locations from where the two-wheelers were stolen are yet to be ascertained.  The owners of the vehicles have not been intimated about the recovery of the vehicles yet.Police sources said the accused did not have any history of theft case against them. They have been forwarded to judicial custody.
