Five families were rendered homeless in a fire mishap at Lachipur un¬der Kodala police station on Friday. Sources said short circuit caused the fire. By the time fire brigade reached the spot, 15 rooms with property worth Rs 15 lakhs were de¬stroyed. However, Revenue officials provided dry food to the people who have been rendered homeless.
