Five families rendered homeless

Five families were rendered homeless in a fire mishap at Lachipur un¬der Kodala police station on Friday. Sources said short circuit caused the fire. By the time fire brigade reached the spot, 15 rooms with property worth Rs 15 lakhs were de¬stroyed. However, Revenue officials provided dry food to the people who have been rendered homeless. They have taken shelter in village UP school. Bahuda Yatra As per the tradition, Bahuda Yatra of Trinity was held at Dharakote and Surangi, one day after the auspicious re¬turn festival at Puri. Dhara¬kote queen Sulakshna Geetanjali with her younger sister Santipriya Geetanjali were taken in a procession in silver palanquin to the char¬iots.  After performing rituals, the chariots were pulled by thousands of devotees for the return of Trinity to main temple. Similarly, return car festival was celebrated at Surangi where local people and those from Andhra pradesh participated
