The State Government reshuffled the top officials of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Friday.

DD Autonomous College (Keonjhar) Principal Basudev Chhatoi has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Council. Government Autonomous College (Bhawanipatna) botany reader Biranchi Narayan Mishra has been appointed as the Controller of Examination.

The transfer orders have been issued by the Department of Higher Education (DHE) in the wake of plus-two science question paper leak.

The CHSE Chairman, G S Ray, was transferred as Principal to BJB Autonomous College. Council Vice-Chairman Girija Shankar Acharya was transferred to Government Science College in Chhatrapur as commerce reader. The CHSE Controller of Examination, Jasobanta Behera, was transferred to SCS Autonomous College in Puri as zoology reader.

CHSE Deputy Controller of Examination Mihir Ranjan Sethy was transferred to SCS Autonomous College as political science reader.

Sources in the council said speculation over the transfers began 15 days ago. But the State government wanted to wait till all the examination results were out.

The transfer orders have come after the results for the instant examination were declared in the last week of June. The posts of Vice-Chairman and Deputy Secretary of the Council are yet to be filled up. The CHSE’s Secretary post has been retained.
