A legal consultancy cell, which will provide free legal aid to the public, was set up here by the Advocates for National Development on Sunday.

The cell was set up for providing free legal assistance to the people who could not afford to pay for the legal charges.

A panel of 20 lawyers will provide legal counselling to the public through phone. A majority of the people are deprived of justice because either they are ignorant of the laws or do not have the money to get legal assistance.
