Konark to have new look

Soon, the Sun temple at Konark will have a new peripheral look. The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India and National Culture Fund (NCF), has decided to undertake various steps for development of the tourist infrastructure facilities and the museum.

The foundation stone for the project was laid on Sunday by Union Culture Minister Chandresh Kumari Katoch in the presence of Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Veerappa Moily, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, MoS for  Chemicals and Fertilisers Srikant Jena, ASI Director General Pravin Srivastava, Tourism Minister Maheswar Mohanty and IOCL Chairman R S Butala.
