Heavy rain back in Koraput

Heavy rain threw normal life out of gear in Koraput region on Tuesday. The district recorded an average 70 mm rainfall during the day.

The district experienced 50 rain days from June 1- the highest rainfall in the past one decade.

Hardly the rain had stopped for some days, heavy rain caused by the low pressure in Bay of Bengal has brought further problems for the locals.

As the rain continues, most of the rivers are in spate and are likely to cross the danger mark any time.

Road communication from other districts to neighbouring Malkangiri and Nabarangpur has been affected as the National Highway and State Highways have been breached at different places.
