A statue of Binod Kanungo, the founder of Odia Encyclopaedia Gyana Mandal, was unveiled on the premises of the State Archives on Wednesday.
The statue,installed by the Culture department, was unveiled by Tourism and Culture Minister Maheswar Mohanty. Housing and Urban Development (H & UD) Minister Debi Prasad Mishra was also present. Kanungo is credited for creating the largest encyclopaedia till date.
