BERHAMPUR: With the Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahy visiting the Berhampur University on Tuesday, students of different departments staged a dharna in front of the administrative block to press their 16-point charter of demands.
They demanded ambulance service and prohibition on movement of heavy vehicles on the campus, repair of approach roads to the university, provision of NET coaching, smart classrooms, gym facilities and appointment to vacant faculty positions.
The dharna was withdrawn after the Minister assured them of holding a meeting on the demands.
