SOHELA (BARGARH):  Tension ran high on NH-6 near Sohela after a police patrolling vehicle escorting Justice AS Naidu hit an eight-year-old girl student on Wednesday afternoon. Soon after the accident, the locals blocked NH-6 and SH-3 demanding stern action against the erring police personnel. The blockade was withdrawn after Sohela Tehsildar and IIC assured the agitators of looking into the matter.

Sources said when the Class III student of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Integral Education Roshini Saha alighted from school bus in front of her house, the police vehicle hit her. A DSP, who was accompanying Justice AS Naidu, directed the escort vehicle to rush the girl to Sohela CHC.
