DHENKANAL: Cooperation and Excise Minister Damodar Rout on Tuesday said the State Government is not sitting idle as far as the land allotment scam is concerned. “Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will take action strictly on the basis of findings of the Task Force Committee, which is currently gathering evidence from various sources,” he said, while speaking to mediapersons. The Minister asserted that the Chief Minister will not favour any member within BJD or other party involved in allotment of land under discretionary quota by violating guidelines. On land grab at Gangapatna on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, Rout said the land belongs to Revenue Department and investigation has been called to trace the officials involved in the scam.
