Prakruti in ‘Cine Star Ki Khoj’
Prakruti Mishra who had started her career as a child artist in Ollywood has taken her first step into Bollywood. Last seen in Odia movie Omm opposite Sambit, Prakruti has acted in many Odia films as a child artist and several Odia albums. As a lead actress, she had made her debut with Om Sai Ram opposite Sabyasachi and directed by Hara Pattnaik. The actress who is currently residing in Mumbai has been selected in the auditions for the top 12 in ‘Cine Star Ki Khoj’ - a reality show being aired on Zee TV for aspiring actors. Vijay Krishna Acharya, Sonali Bendre and Ayushmann Khurrana comprised the jury for the auditions.
Facebook, the latest love
Mahurat of Ms Suchitra Film’s new venture Facebook - The Latest Love was held in the city recently. The movie featuring Puja Rao and Bulu in the lead roles is being produced by Banshidhar Subudhi and directed by Manoranjan Pal. Music has been composed by Sangram while Ajay Samal has written the dialogues. Other actors in the cast include Sritam Das, Sunita Garabadu, Uttam Mohanty, Anita Das, Jeeban Panda, Soumya, Braja Singh, Salil Mitra and Piyush Mohanty.
To Sathe Bandha Mo Jeeban Dori
To Sathe Bandha Mo Jeeban Dori is an upcoming Odia movie produced by Narayan Ghadei under the banner of MC Production. Directed by Sudhansu Sekhar Mallick, the film stars Rupali, Romi, Debadutta, Asit Pati and Debu Bramha in lead roles. This film is based on a love story centred around a village. Bidyut Roy has scored the music and story is by Goutam Giri. Nirmal Nayak and Panchanan Nayak have penned the lyrics. The film is slated to hit the theatres on the eve of Ganesh puja.

Jaanbaaz, a Bengali movie being directed by Sumit Das features Sampurna Lahiri, Locket Chatterjee, Kaushik Roy, Debranjan Nag, Biswajit Chakrabarty, Rana Mitra, Kaushik Chakrabarty, Joy Badlani and Surjyo. Leading actress of Odia album and films Debjani is playing the second lead in this movie.
Sanjay Nayak’s Gang
Post production works of Sanjay Nayak’s upcoming project Gang is going on in full swing. Produced by Juganshu Kumar Panda and directed by Sanjay Nayak, Premananda has scored music for this flick. Ira Mohanty, Sricharan Mohanty, Bishnu Mohan Kabi, Madhab, Sohini and Humane have lent their voices for the songs. The film stars Deepak, Ragini, Bijaya Mohanty, Kuna Tripathy, Asit Pati, Bhupati Tripathy, Biju Badajena and Chakradhar Jena in lead roles. Nayak has used 10 trained dogs from Chennai in the movie.
