Bail Plea of Seashore CMD Rejected

BHUBANESWAR: The court of Khurda District and Sessions Judge on Thursday rejected bail application of Seashore Group CMD Prashant Dash.

The court heard arguments of both prosecution and defence on Wednesday and reserved the verdict.

Dash had moved higher court seeking bail after his application was rejected by the court of Additional CJM (CBI) last month.

On March 7, the Central agency had filed the chargesheet against Seashore Group of companies naming Prashant, his brother Pravat and a political conduit Subhankar Nayak, accusing the firm of swindling around `600 crore.

Dash had applied for bail soon after the chargesheet was filed in this case.
