BHUBANESWAR: A 52-year-old man was killed in a road accident at Bharatpur here on Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Dhaneswar Behera, a resident of Bharatpur.
Sources said Behera was mowed down by a truck while he was heading towards his home on a two-wheeler. He sustained fatal injuries and died on his way to the hospital.
While police seized the truck, the driver managed to flee. A case was registered at Khandagiri police station in this connection and body of the deceased sent for autopsy.
