Vig Raids on Houses of OTDC Staff

BHUBANESWAR: The Bhubaneswar division of State Vigilance on Friday raided the residence and office of a Financial Controller of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) and found assets worth `81 lakh in his possession.

Multiple raids were conducted on the residence and office of OTDC Financial Controller Pranab Kumar Chand who was accused of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The raids were conducted on Chand’s houses at Chakeisiani and Govindaprasad and his office room in OTDC complex in the Capital.

Movable assets like gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 4.5 lakh, Rs 17 lakh of deposits in banks and insurance, Rs 52,000 in cash and other expensive household articles were found during the raid.

Besides, document of immovable assets like two three-storey buildings, plots at Lingipur, Samantarapur, Gadakana, Janla and Govindaprasad were recovered by the Vigilance sleuths.
