OTDC to Improve Its Hotels, Services

BHUBANESWAR:The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has decided to firm up its investment plan to improve its products and associated infrastructure.

This was decided at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the corporation held recently. OTDC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with www.yatra.com portal for online reservation of OTDC hotels and tour packages. This facility will be available shortly for the tourists visiting the State.

It was decided that the OTDC will tie up with other leading travel portals offering similar facilities for booking. Besides, the OTDC will upgrade its hotel units to Star categories in a phased manner. 

The Board has decided to computerise the operation, expand online booking of accommodation and tour packages and organise capacity building of its employees through training and digitisation of inventories.

Besides, the OTDC will obtain ISO certification for its 20 hotel units by improving facilities, services and other parameters by March, 2016.
