CBI Should Quiz Dasburma: Congress

Congress activists also demanded President’s rule in the State as Naveen Patnaik Government failed in all aspects.

PURI:  Hundreds of Congress activists, led by party leader  Biswanath Dash, staged a demonstration at the Lion’s Gate of Jagannath Temple demanding resignation of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma for his alleged links with Artha Tatwa chit fund company and the Pajero vehicle issue. They also burnt the effigy of Dasburma.

Former OPCC general secretary Priyadarshan Patnaik demanded that the CBI should question the Minister and probe into his involvement in running several companies.

Congress activists also demanded President’s rule in the State as Naveen Patnaik Government failed in all aspects of fulfilling the promises made to the people.

Balangir: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Prasad Harichandan, who was on a visit to Boudh and Sonepur districts for party work, met Leader of Opposition Narasingh Mishra in Balangir on Saturday. Addressing mediapersons, Harichandan said Dasburma should resign in the wake of CBI notice to him seeking details of his SUVs. He said the CBI should interrogate Dasburma in connection with the case.  Stating that Congress will continue to fight for the cause of poor and farmers, he said  people are migrating to other States in search of livelihood as the BJD Government has failed to provide them jobs under different schemes.
