No Respite for Rourkela

ROURKELA:  Adding to the fear of water scarcity is the rising mercury. Rourkela City sizzled at 44 degree Celsius on Monday while Sundargarh town was a little cooler at 43.5.  As per part-time observatory of Indian Meteorological Department, Sundargarh town recorded 1.5 degree rise in temperature from Sunday. Environment Engineering Department of Rourkela Steel Plant informed that mercury on Monday touched 44 degrees with maximum atmospheric humidity at 45 per cent. Hot wind blowing from 8.30 am till evening has only added to the miseries of people across the district.
