BHUBANESWAR: The Congress on Thursday rolled out Bhim Jyoti Rath which will cover 30 districts of the State during next two months.

President of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Prasad Harichandan flagged off the Rath from Congress Bhavan here at a function organised to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar. Harichandan called upon party workers to fight for the rights of dalits.

Harichandan said Ambedkar and Congress have always worked to protect the rights of backward and downtrodden in the society.

Among others, Chairman of OPCC Scheduled Caste Department Krushna Chandra Sagaria, former OPCC president Jaydev Jena, chairman of media department Kailash Acharya and president of State Mahila Congress Sasmita Behera addressed the function.
