Sarada Mishra No More

BHUBANESWAR: Noted writer Sarada Prasad Mishra passed away on Sunday morning at a City hospital here. He was 55.

Mishra complained of chest pain following which he was rushed to a hospital where he breathed his last. He was battling with cancer for the last few years. He was working as public relations officer (PRO) to the Governor.

A recipient of Odisha Sahitya Akademi award in 2011 for short story, Mishra also won several awards for his literary works.

Mishra has authored several books such as ‘Apahancha Ilakara Adhiswara’, ‘Golapi Smrutira Kabita’, ‘Ratira Ajab Drushya’, ‘Ahuri Uparaku Hata’, ‘Uttana Pada’ and ‘Julie’. His last rites were performed at Nischintakoili in Cuttack district.
