RAYAGADA: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids on the residence and office of a pharmacist of Narayanpur Sub Health Centre under Kalyansinghpur block of the district on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The vigilance sleuths raided two houses of Ashok Kumar Patra in Rayagada and Kalyansinghpur and unearthed property worth more than `1.9 crore. His godown at main road in Kalyansingpur, office chamber of Sub Health Centre, Narayanpur and a double-storey building at Rayagada were also searched.
Patra’s property includes a building worth `13.77 lakh at Kalyansingpur and house at Rayagada worth `24.42 lakh. The sleuths also seized foreign currencies from his Rayagada residence.
