PHULBANI: The District Judge Hiranmaya Bisoy on Saturday sentenced Brahmananda Pradhan (23) of Damerikia village under K Nuagaon police limits to 12 years imprisonment for raping a 13-year-old physically handicapped girl on April 23, 2013.
The girl was alone in her house when the incident occurred.
Her parents later lodged a police complaint following which, Pradhan was arrested.
The accused was also imposed a fine of `2500.
