BHUBANESWAR: The Commissionerate of Police is contemplating to move the court seeking cancellation of bail of Sunil Meher in six cases under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).
Sunil is facing nine cases under PITA including the three in which he was absconding. The notorious pimp got bail in rest of the cases.
“These were conditional bails. However, Meher resumed his flesh trade business soon after securing a bail which clearly violated the court’s conditions,” sources said.
By seeking cancellation of bails in previous cases against Meher, the police will be able to frame him in a watertight case. The move will strengthen the chargesheet against the repeat offender, a police official said.
Meanwhile, efforts are on to track the bank accounts of Meher across the country. The Commissionerate of Police will appeal for freezing his accounts.
