ASKA: A Class X student of Kamagada High School in Aska block died after he fainted during a drill session on Saturday.
Sagar Nahak (15) was performing drill along with his classmates on the school premises when he suddenly fell down and become unconscious.
He was taken to a nearby hospital at Balisira and then referred to Aska Government Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The headmaster said the boy had no external injury mark on his body. The exact cause of death would be known only after getting post-mortem report, he said.
The autopsy was conducted at Aska hospital. After a direction by District Education Officer Sanatan Panda, Assistant DEO Binita Senapati went to the school to inquire into the incident. “We have registered an unnatural death case in this regard and started inquiry into the incident,” inspector in-charge Aska police station Baleswar Gidhi said.
