‘3 biz meets get Odisha Rs 3.64L crore plans’

Odisha received investment intent of Rs 3,64,863.75 crore from the three investors’ meets organised in 2016.

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha received investment intent of Rs 3,64,863.75 crore from the three investors’ meets organised in 2016.

Replying to a question from Prafulla Majhi (Congress) in the Assembly on Thursday, Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra said 14 companies expressed their intent to invest Rs 70,959 crore during the Make In India Week in Mumbai in February.

Similarly, 29 companies expressed intention to invest Rs 90,670 crore in the State during the Odisha Investors’ Meet held in September in Bengaluru. The Minister said 83 companies were interested to invest Rs 2,03,234.75 crore during the Make In Odisha Conclave organised at Bhubaneswar from November 30 to

December 2.
The Minister said ambassadors’ meet at New Delhi and road shows at Hyderabad, Kolkata and New Delhi were organised at a cost of Rs 29.45 lakh to attract investors to the Make In Odisha Conclave.
