BHUBANESWAR: THE BJB Autonomous College Alumni Association - ‘BJB Friends’ organised a city-level inter college quiz competition here on Saturday.
As many as 48 teams participated in the initial rounds and six teams qualified for the finals which had seven rounds. Shivam Sachin and Abhinav Samal were winners followed by Amit Kumar Jena and Dipankar Das first runners-up and Subhasmita Biswal and Nirlipt Parida second runner-ups.
The winners will be felicitated with a cash prize of Rs 15,000. Prize money for the first and second runner-up will be Rs 10,000 and Rs 5000 respectively, member of the association Debasish Patnaik said.
The event was held to mark the annual gathering of the college’s alumni and the prizes will be given away on
December 18 on the occasion of the annual function of BJB Friends.
This year, the 1980-batch of the institution voluntered to sponsor the event in memory of one of their batchmates Sudhansu Nanda who passed away recently.
