BERHAMPUR: BODY of a minor girl, Manju Das, was found hanging from a tree in Poirasi village under Rambha police limits on Thursday.
She was working in a cashewnut processing unit at Santoshpur, located close to the spot where the body was found. Sources said she had gone outside the unit at around 4 pm but did not return.
Suspecting foul, other workers in the unit started searching for her and found the girl hanging from the tree. They rushed her to Chhatrapur Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
SDPO Ramesh Sethi reached the spot and started an inquiry. He said the reason behind her death can be ascertained after the postmortem report.
