BERHAMPUR: Tension ran high in Raipanka village under Adava police limits in Gajapati district following the recovery of a half burnt body of a girl on Wednesday morning. Receiving information from locals, police reached the spot and seized the body.

While a major portion of the upper part of the body was charred, the severed hands of the girl was found near the body. Since the body was defaced, it is yet to be identified. 


Villagers block road 
Phulbani: Eight jawans were injured when the bus they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck near Gudarigaon under Phulbani police limits on Wednesday.

The bus, carrying the jawans of IRB from Phulbani to Puri, collided with a truck. Later, irate jawans bashed the truck driver Jitu Sahu. Getting information, locals reached the spot and blocked the road demanding action against the jawans.
