PARADIP : Paradip Police had to cancel their plan of taking Managing Director (MD) of Odisha Stevedores Ltd (OSL), Mahimananda Mishra on four-day remand from Thursday owing to his ill health. They sought permission of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Kujang for fresh remand.
The court granted four days remand from January 1 to January 4. On Tuesday, Mishra and his close aide Basant Bal were produced in the court of JMFC, Kujang which remanded them in judicial custody.
The court had allowed Paradip police to take Mishra on a four-day remand from December 29 for interrogation. On the other hand, another accused Rakesh Choubey was shifted to Allipingal Sub Jail on security ground on Thursday.
