Indian Council of Philosophical Research award for Professor Nayak

BHUBANESWAR: The Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR) has decided to confer the Life Time Achievement Award on Prof GC Nayak, former Vice Chancellor of Sri Jagannath Sanskrit University, Puri for the year 2016-17.

The prestigious award carries C1 lakh in cash and a citation. ICPR is a body under the Ministry of Human Resources Development. Prof Nayak, who was also the head of PG Department of Philosophy at Utkal University, was earlier nominated by ICPR as National Fellow for 2011-12. He was the first and only ICPR National Fellow from the State.
