Human chains for Biju birth anniversary

BHUBANESWAR: Human chains will be formed in all the block and district headquarters on November 23 between 9 am and 10 am to observe birth anniversary of Biju Patnaik and 80th year of formation of Odisha as a separate State.
A function will also be organised at the Capital City in this regard which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Panchayati Raj Minister Arun Sahu presided over a preparatory meeting in this regard here on Tuesday.

The human chain in the State Capital will start from Dhauli and end at Nandankanan. Students, Anganwadi and Asha workers, members of self help groups (SHGs), Government employees and common people will be part of the 30 km long human chain here.
Among others, Tourism Minister Ashok Panda, BJD MLAs Bijoy Kumar Mohanty and Priyadharshi Mishra, Mayor Anant Narayan Jena and senior officials attended the meeting.
