BHUBANESWAR: Around 2,000 tribals from Odisha will attend the first National Tribal Carnival to be held in New Delhi from October 25 to 28.
The carnival is scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium at 4 pm on October 25 in the presence of Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram.
Activities like displaying documents on traditional socio-culture aspects, exhibition of art/artifacts, cultural performances, demonstration of skills like sports, paintings and traditional healing practices will be part of the four-day event, said State BJP general secretary and former MP Ananta Nayak.
