4 hurt as car catches fire

At least four persons including a five-year-old child, were injured after the car in which they were travelling caught fire following an accident in Nayagarh district on Saturday.

NAYAGARH : At least four persons including a five-year-old child, were injured after the car in which they were travelling caught fire following an accident in Nayagarh district on Saturday. The mishap took place at Panchupandav village on NH-57 under Nuagaon police limits in the afternoon.
The injured are Lina Mishra who is a junior engineer in Binika block, her son Krisha n Sai Mishra, her brother Soumya Mishra and a domestic help Sudbali Parlika. After preliminary treatment in Nayagarh Hospital, they have been shifted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.


They were on their way to Binika from Bhubaneswar. Lina was driving the car that hit a tree following which, its engine caught fire and engulfed the entire vehicle. On being informed, fire fighters rushed to the spot and rescued the four who were trapped in vehicle besides, dousing the flame.
