People have lost faith in BJD: Jual

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram urged voters to throw away the ‘corruption-ridden’ BJD from power. 

BERHAMPUR/JAGATSINGHPUR:Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram urged voters to throw away the ‘corruption-ridden’ BJD from power.  Addressing an election meeting at Seragada in Ganjam district, Jual  said Seragada area comes under the Assembly segment of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik but corruption in the block has crossed all limits as a result of which, it is yet to see development.

“The voting trend in the State proves that people have lost faith in BJD,” he said, adding that the ruling party’s ministers are involved in many scams and are responsible for rising crime rate in Odisha. He appealed to voters to vote in favour of the BJP candidates and strengthen the party in Odisha.
Close fight in Jagatsinghpur

Senior leaders of BJP, BJD and Congress campaigned for their party nominees in six ZP zones in Jagatsinghpur and Naugaon blocks. Sources said there is a close contest between BJD, BJP  and Congress in these blocks. While local MLA Chiranjeeb Biswal appealed to voters to vote for Congress candidates, district BJD unit president Bishnu Das also campaigned in these two blocks.  Campaigning for last phase election concluded on Sunday.
 Jagatsinghpur block consists of four ZP zones where 1,16,102 voters will exercise their franchise on Tuesday. Out of 487 booths, 70 booths are sensitive. In Naugaon block, there are two ZP zones where 67,495 voters will cast votes. Out of 263 booths, 38 are sensitive.
