SONEPUR:A day after TNIE carried a report, the administration swung into action and admitted Jubraj Kumbhar, the 13-year-old disabled boy, in Sardhapali Pallishree High School on Friday.
Jubraj of Babaupali village in Sardhapali gram panchayat under Sonepur Sadar block was reportedly denied admission in the school solely because of his disability. After Friday's development, Balram Kumbhar, the boy's father, expressed happiness and thanked the media for taking up the cause of his son. Office of the Chief Minister, Odisha in a post on Twitter stated that Jubraj has been admitted in Class XI in the school and attending classes. Jubraj had lost a leg in a road accident when he was a kid.
